我們天天玩手機，幾乎淪為了手機的奴隸，可是「玩手機」的英文表達是什麼呢？玩手機可不是「play the phone」。

首先，來看看play的用法，大家應該都知道玩樂器，彈鋼琴play the piano 、彈小提琴play the violin， play后面要加「the」；而玩球類運動，play后面不需要加「the」，例如踢足球play football、打籃球play basketball 。這是為什麼呢？

如果play后接的物體一直在手上，需要加「the」，否則不需要。因為籃球、足球都是拋來拋去，不是每個人一直控球，所以不加the，就是play football。而「the」，特指一直做某事，或拿著某樣東西，彈鋼琴就是play the piano。

但是玩手機說「play the phone」卻不對！！！

因為玩手機，你實際上玩的是手機里面的軟件、游戲，而非把玩手機本身，是通過手機屏，在上面滑動。所以， 正確的說法是「play on the phone」。

英國人偏好用 「mobile phone或者mobile」表達手機，而美國人習慣用「 cell phone或cell」說手機。
